It's quite possible that a kid came from that school a few years ago and did not do well (which has nothing to do with your son but may color the school's opinion of kids from this school). I have a kid who came from public and has done very well at STA. He was the first kid ever accepted from this public. Two years have passed and the school just admitted 3 boys from the same public. I think they realize that they can trust this school's preparation. There are a lot of factors that go into why a school accepts the kids they do. [/quote]
