[/quote] It was an active shooter situation with high powered assault weapons. LE didn’t know if nearby embassy properties were being targeted. LE didn’t know if the perpetrator was inside the school. They didn’t know if there were multiple shooters. There is a Metro station a block away. There are multiple schools and a daycare. A number of Burke students were being sheltered at a nearby location. FFS even the White House went into an enhanced security posture with Secret Service armed with tactical weapons. But, sure, keep a few blocks of Connecticut open so your neighborhood street street isn’t congested. [/quote]
