Ugh yuck. I think pressure either way sucks. But I wonder if those parents have worn a mask for 8 hours for days on end. I live by a target so go there far too often. The people who are reliably unmasked are the workers.[/quote]

Agree, this is equally terrible, and those parents are probably still working from home.

I'm actually happy about every unmasked teacher I see, because it will benefit their interactions with the kids, and because it's good to see they are not afraid. But those who are afraid should experience no pressure to unmask either.[/quote]

Remember a teacher might be masking for reasons that are none of your business. Someone in their home could have cancer, they could have cancer, they might be planning on seeing someone over the weekend and don’t want to get sick before that.

Did I say I wanted to know why they are still masking? I said I am glad when I see teachers who aren't masking because I think it makes for more natural interactions with the kids and benefits teaching, and I am also glad to see they are not afraid to get infected at school. I wasn't making a judgment about whether they have reason to be afraid or not. And if it's just a short term choice due to an upcoming trip, more power to them![/quote]
