I didn’t just realize that soldiers are usually young and come from poor backgrounds. But in most armies, including ours, they are mercenaries, paid and trained to fight. And we spend obscene amounts of money to minimize lives lost. These teens were conscripted weeks before the war and sent in without training, proper uniforms or food. Yeah it’s depressing to see in 2022.[/quote]

Oh the Ukraine’s most likely have 14 and 15 years old fighting. The city fighting that is coming will be very bad. You could see 100k KIA and multiples of that as wounded on both sides. During WW2 the Soviets formed battalions and spent them to the front with 8 hours of training. Even the current US forces are really young many just out of high school. [/quote]
