(1) You don’t have to say “alleged” if you aren’t identifying someone with your statement. A person is not alleged to have done this. They did it! Car was jacked with child in backseat.

(2) If you are going to carjack, and I’d prefer you didn’t but if you do, I feel like you at a minimum should check the backseat first to see if there are children, pets, sick elderly relatives, etc. Just as a courtesy. And to limit your crimes to grand theft auto and assault, stopping short of kidnapping and false imprisonment.[/quote]
