The normal people — the people you actually want to stay connected with— will welcome them and enjoy receiving your holiday greetings whenever they arrive. One of my favorite moments of the season is when, sometime between Dec 26 and January 1, I sit down with a cup of something hot and go through the holiday cards. Most I have already opened, but in the pre-Christmas rush likely just glanced at before putting in the basket. Some are just arriving. I take time to read through all, to asses how much the kids have grown, who they look like this year, what their outfits and smiles say about who they are becoming.
