Our neighbors a few doors down typically have signs up for republican candidates. I’m just glad they had the good sense not to put up Trump signs—though I assume they voted for him.
They were probably afraid of repercussions from liberals. There wasn’t a single Trump sign in my neighborhood, and LOTS of Biden signs, yet our local precinct went for Trump (on Election Day itself). So you know there are Trump supporters who want to avoid any violence from liberal neighbors. Someone on this forum said that a neighbor loosened the lug nuts on all four tires the night after she put up her Trump sign. Thankfully, nobody was killed when her tires started to come loose. No telling what some of these liberals will do.
My lovely neighbor gave out Trump candy last year. Like a handmade thing he wrapped the candy in.
Did you ever experience a Trump Train last year? We were caught in the middle of one and it was very intimidating. The Confederate flags, revving of engines in traffic, coal rolling trucks, foul language, disregard for traffic laws, etc. It was all overly aggressive and obnoxious.
More stereotyping - which is what racists do. I’m Republican, as is my brother and mother, and as are all my friends. The LEAST educated among us has a B.A.; most have grad degrees. All are vaxxed. None would be caught dead with a Confederate flag. YOU JUST TRY TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL MORALLY SUPERIOR by putting all people who don’t vote Democrat in a deplorable basket. I actually blame Hillary for what has happened here: she gave permission to show total disdain and contempt for people who aren’t like yourselves. Ironically, this is what liberals accuse conservatives of doing. The lack of self-awareness among people who consider themselves so educated and above everyone else is unreal. And P.S. Being caught in a Trump Train is a lot less scary than being caught in the middle of a BLM riot.
“….afraid of repercussions from liberals”, and “No telling what some of these liberals will do”. The post was in response to those statements. Trump encouraged the trains. He did the same leading up to January 6 and fuled the fire. I wouldn’t put anyone who voted Republican or other into a deplorable basket. I’ve voted Republican before. I do put into that basket anyone who supports someone who supports Trump (ex. Youngkin).
