Tell me you don't understand risks to kids from covid without telling me you don't understand the risks to kids from covid.

Most districts required medical need because most districts know that in-person is best.  Executive functioning skills required to succeed in virtual is basically non-existent until high school at best - can cite studies pre-2020 and 2020/2021 SOL scores.  Kids are at higher risk from almost everything else they do - driving, swimming, living in a world with flu and RSV, suicide risk - than COVID. These kids should have come back.  BUT all that being said, APS promised a functional virtual program and has absolutely dropped the ball.  It's a disservice to the kids who need bc of medical risk virtual and I think we can all agree - APE or otherwise -  that all of Arlington should want kids to have a good education.  This is horrible, and Duran and the Board should be held accountable.
