For example, one kid got a one year ban and he got 7, he has a litigious family, and the ban is until he is 18 when his family can no longer make decisions for him and he is personally responsible as an adult. As I said earlier, the HOA’s duty is to protect the community and a lawsuit would cost the entire community money. It’s reasonable to attempt to protect the members of the community from that risk. I’m just speculating. Regardless to think of this as punishment or what is needed to teach the kid a lesson is the wrong focus because that isn’t the role of an HOA - that’s for courts and parents.
