Lots of schools do this because people tend to go abroad second semester of junior year so spots for housing open up.  The school is a business and doesn't want open spots so they offer them to students on the wait list.   [/quote]

Not true. At NYU as at other schools, this is a space and $$ issue. Stats are the same range as fall admits; my DS is also a spring admit at NYU and I can speak first hand to his stats.. Even if that were not the case (and it is), reporting of stats would be irrelevant b/c stats don't matter this year w/test optional.  [/quote]
