Teachers get three personal days a year. A few years ago, one of my kids’ teachers took a whole week off for a wedding, and that kind of pissed me off, but that’s the only abuse of leave I’ve ever seen, as a teacher and a parent. I also let it go- because it’s just not that big of a deal. My kid is fine.[/quote] Technically you can roll 3 over and have a max total of 6. It's possible the teacher didn't take any personal days or just 1 the year prior so he/she had the time for the wedding the following year. I had a year where I had a few out of town fall Friday weddings so I saved my days from the year before. I didn't take off a full week though- my principal rarely approves things like that.[/quote]
