Lawrence Prince Edward Countess Sophie Prince William Duchess Kate Archbishop of Canterbury (religious leader) 4 other possibles - Eugenie and Zara both are post-partum in a pandemic. Meghan is heavily pregnant in a pandemic. I don’t think their spouses will show without them.
Holy heck is this what you do for fun?
If it’s a private funeral we won’t know who attends. If the Queen wants a big funeral then they will delay it.
Harry will be invited. Like the other American divorcee, Wallis Simpson, Meghan Markel will not be invited. Like his great uncle, the Duke of Windsor, Harry will arrive at the funeral without his wife but with all of his grievances. His marginalization will be evident, just as it was with Edward
Actually Edward attended the funerals as an equal member of the family. Members of the Royal Family follow the coffin during the funeral procession of Queen Mary, the wife of King George V of England. The procession is taking the remains to Westminster Hall from Marlborough House. Shown are (from left to right): Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (husband of Queen Elizabeth II); Edward, Duke of Windsor (son of Queen Mary and former King of England); Henry, Duke of Gloucester (a son of Queen Mary's); and Edward, Duke of Kent (a grandson of the late queen's). He was invited only as a sop to the British public who wanted another chance to flay him after the abdication. He was particularly chagrined at King George’s funeral to know that the monarchy would be lead by his niece who he held in low regard because if her mother’s antipathy toward him.
He wasn't stupid. Of course it would be lead by his niece. It wasn't going to skip to the other brother unless she died.
To clarify: Chagrined does not mean stupid.
