If they child is not yet in private school when the parents divorce, it's pretty unlikely (barring unusual circumstances) that a judge would order a parent to pay for private school in the future if the parent didn't agree. But if the child is already in private school when the parents divorce, it is very common for parents to be ordered to continue to pay private school tuition until graduation.[/quote] Correct, if it was already in place and it was something both or one parent could afford.
