Exactly. We’re not discussing race with our 3 year old. Why? Because she goes to a majority-minority preschool. Her school sent a picture of her little class of 5 kids on a walk today. She’s the only white kid. She’s grinning from ear to ear, holding the hands of the POC kids next to her.

She can’t understand systemic racism as a 3 year old, but she spends her days in a diverse environment. Hopefully that will help form a foundation of acceptance, as a basis for conversations when she gets older about how to be an ally.[/quote]
