Other than the VA hospitals does our government run hospitals in this country?  Is it not the responsibilities of the hospitals to have supplies for their workers?

No. It is neither wise nor financially tenable for hospitals to run at fifty percent capacity just in case there is a once-in-a-century global pandemic. A pandemic is a national issue that requires a national response. The government cannot depend on private hospitals to take care of the situation.  This is why the US had had a pandemic response team and why the trump administration was briefed on the plan for a national response to the issue. [/quote]
