Trumps plan seems very half assed.  Unsurprising I guess.

At any rate, this hurts, farmers, and manufacturers, and small business owners with a global supply chain in red states first and hardest. That’s the Republican base. The Information, professional, knowledge, tech and service sectors in blue areas get hit much less hard.  If they are willing to endure the economic pain for a trade war that will, at best, be a draw because it is somehow MaGA, good for them. As long as my 401k stays strong, I don’t really care. Do you?

BTW, there is a reason that, up until now, Republicans have hated tariffs— they hit the Republican base much harder than the Dem base. [/quote]
