Pence can teach where she wants to teach. It is her option and her choice. People who don't agree with her will demonize her. It won't stop her from teaching at this school. She is a strong woman and is smart enough to ignore the haters.
Sure she can. It’s her right. Just as it’s the right of people who don’t agree with her being okay with anti-gay policy to criticize that. I’m sure you will demonize them, but it won’t stop those people from their opinion of her It also won’t win her or her husband wide popularity to be so openly homophobic. That’s a good point I can cheer! Better to be open in your dislike of a large chunk of the population than to hide it and pretend otherwise.
Openly homophobic? For believing that marriage is between a man and woman? Tell us what she has said that is homophobic.
They lived in this area for years, so a lot of people know her personally. I can tell you that no one I know ever heard her saying anything negative about gay people. EVER.
Would she criticize the school she is going to work at if they kicked out a student because he came out as gay? Seriously, I want to know. Would she stand up for that student? Would she take a stance for a gay man who got fired from his job (from anywhere) just because he was gay? Would she take a stance for a lesbian couple who were refused rental in an apartment building just because they are gay? Would she? If she wouldn't, as second lady, openly speak up against those examples of discrimination, then I don't care whether she's never on record said anything negative about gay people. She thinks in her heart that they are sinners whom god disapproves of and I challenge you to say "no she doesn't." Because if she didn't believe that, she wouldn't sign that employment statement. And if she's signing the statement without believe it, well that doesn't speak very highly of her. That's certainly her right to believe that the LGBTQ commnity is sinful. It's certainlly my right to believe she's wrong and call her homophobic because of her belief.
