Having said that the Bethesda area has a number of well regarded public schools at all 3 levels and hence a lot more political flexibility to tweak boundaries depending on demand. Sure there will be similar levels of teeth gnashing since it involves people from Bethesda but at the end of the day you are essentially moving kids between long established and successful schools while in DC at some point you are likely forcing some cohort or another to be pioneers of sorts when they get moved.[/quote]
