The only reason danni would delete her social media is because she's facing backlash. She didn't take down her social media for "workplace discrimination" at TKS, or for her separation or divorce. Why? Because she wanted the attention and the sympathy. Now that she's getting attention for a 100% negative reason - planning and engaging in a fake radio prank and playing it out to the extent that that the big boss apologized to her - oh, she really stepped in it now. And she's not brace enough to suck it up and honestly say what happened, why, and that she regrets it.
But she's not. The fanbase/core audience of the station is overwhelmingly on Danni's side. There is a reason, but it's not backlash.
That's because a huge portion of the audience does not know that the whole thing was fake and that Danni was in on it. They still think she was "ambushed" and that the ig girl was "real". Once news spreads further that the whole thing was fake and Danni planned it along with the other cohosts, she is screwed.
People keep saying it was fake and Danni was in on it. I think people are interpreting what happened differently. to my knowledge, the fired producer spearheaded the whole thing, then told Quick and DJ59 about it. Nobody said anything to Danni the night before when they do their evening meeting to go over the next mornings topics. They told Danni 30 minutes before going live that morning. It seems to me that most people that listen to the station regularly and most likely heard everything as it played out, also see it this way. Some thing it was an ambush, some think it wasn't. Regardless, they kept her in the dark as long as possible.
I'm one of the people who didn't think it sounded/looked like an ambush and I listened to the whole thing. Danni's hypocrisy got hung out to dry and she was smart enough to turn the tables and pin the blame on Sherm.
She couldn't just "pin the blame" on someone not at fault. Radio stations are still companies with HR departments who have to abide by rules. Making it sound like Danni has the power to hang someone completely innocent out to dry is silly.
It seems to me that when Danni realized her POV was difficult to defend, to avoid looking like a hypocrite she decided to look like a victim. There is only someone at fault if another person has been wronged. Although this bit was planned out to not hurt anyone, Danni found a way to get hurt. Therefor she positions herself as a victim of Sherm and not a hypocrite of female empowerment. And BTW - Is it that big of a deal to be hypocritical on some level? Nothing is ever black or white but it's clear Danni didn't want to hire a female because she was pretty. Regardless of reasons why the woman's level of attractiveness mattered, that is still what Danni was doing, being hypocritical. I'd be a hypocrite too if I worried about my SO being tempted. I'd be worried about by SO being tempted if i had been previously cheated on. I haven't been cheated on and would have no problem hiring an attractive young woman to nanny. I can clearly see the discrimination from Danni on this.
