Go send your kid to a school in SE DC then and donate 50% of your taxes to illegal aliens.

Gotta love the rich whities on DCUM acting like they give a hoot and wanting a poor diverse school for their kids. Please.

The OP’s complaint was clear as day. Hispanics move in, School ratings go down and home prices drop as well. She tries to be all loving her diversity and why does it matter? Well because it does.  It is not racist to prefer a school with a smaller achievement gap. Average and above average kids get ignored in wide gap schools. They are often asked to help the kids in need than do their own learning. The concepts in the class are different. If 5+ kids can’t speak English, there are no group projects. And really, their scores don’t improve. Many still drop out. We are seeing the changes that we see with poor Asian immigrants.

I can assure you no one cares the color of anyone’s kids in their schools. They want families that are active, kids that behave because they care about school, and kids that challenge their own kids. They could be purple, red, brown, yellow, or black. Not wanting poor illegal aliens that lower the school system is not racist.
