You made your choice.[/quote] I love this post. Not being a helicopter parent who tries to mirco-manage his DC's elementary school experience is "outsourcing all of your child's needs?" That's hilarious. And all us evil working parents will have to work through our guilt with therapists? My conscience is clear. My having a job (and the income that comes with it) not to mention being a role model for my daughter isn't choosing my "personal satisfaction over [my] children's well being." My daughter does't need or want me hovering in her classroom and it certainly doesn't negatively affect her well being. I am plenty involved in her life and school work (and school when intervention is actually needed) without being the PTA mom.[/quote]
