[/quote] Isn't four years enough? [/quote] Apparently not if you want the IB diploma. From what I've read, you have to have THREE years of language prior to 11th grade. That means you have to start in 8th grade with level I. They don't tell kids about this in MS -- and most probably wouldn't make a decision on it. But, already, my 13 yr old is blocked out of getting the full IB diploma -- and she has no idea that she is foreclosing this by not taking spanish or french in 8th grade. That's part of my beef with IB. [/quote]
