That same manager Benny Medina is her current manager .

Benny Medina is the reason J Lo is a household name . He was able to spin gold out of a non-singer and ok actress . He was the former manager for Will Smith and the real life inspiration behind the show The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. He’s a very interesting character and the only real man Jennifer Lopez has been with the longest.

He happens to be  gay and he’s also the one J Lo blamed  for the diva demands like white candles and counting sheets by the thread count and all that ridiculous diva nonsense. He also managed Mariah Carey around this time era after he and J Lo broke business relations and he put Mariah through the same mess. Affleck didn’t like Medina in 2003, and when all those reports came out about J Los ridiculous diva behavior and dressing room demands , Benny Medina was blamed for it and J Lo listened to Affleck and fired Benny.

Benny gave her a gift when she was pregnant with the twins and they reconnected and she hired him 5 -6 years later . He is the even the godfather of her kids. His sensibilities for “Old Hwood glam” and “diva” fit J Lo’s as a glove but it is the antithesis of Ben Affleck [/quote]
