Centreville should be an solid favorite next week when they take on the #1 seed from Liberty District --winner of Yorktown and Langley. They already beat Yorktown 15-9 earlier this season. 1) Centreville should dominate the draws (#22, #8, #2) against either team as they did earlier in the season against Yorktown. Strong trio of players and 3rd best draw team in Concorde district. 2) Centreville has the 5th best offense (GPG in District play) in the Concorde just behind Westfield HS at 4th. But Liberty champion will have a hard time stopping #22 who had at least 6 goals against Yorktown in the first meeting. Yorktown or Langley will have to limit above to keep the game close.
Cville what happened in your game in Battlefield, Robinson, Oakton, Madison, and South Lakes? It is clear Liberty District teams aren’t full strength this 2023 season compared to Concord. But if it makes you feel better bragging about beating a Yorktown team that is 8-8 this season sounds like you have low standards. Don’t underestimate Langley. They are undefeated in the Liberty District and have some talented players on that team. 2 D1 commits and some talented sophomores. This is the one team people overlooked this season and wouldn’t be surprised if they made it to Region final.
Great Falls wannabe, please put down your Bubble tea and take a breath from stuffing your face with your Chopt salad. What happened to Madison last year? The most talented team last year Choked. Before asking what happened, look in the mirror. As for Cville's season, the bulk of their season was injury prone. here's a few facts: Battlefield game: Cville was winning at Half time but Battlefield took out 22 on an 8m, knocking her out for the 2nd half. Add that to Cville already missing 1 of their other starting Middies. For good measure, Battlefield took a ridiculous dangerous shot and took out a Starting Defender and another starting Defender got hurt in the Flint Hill game right before. Robinson game: Same starters as above missed the Robinson game, but Cville still kept it within 1-2 goals until the very end. Oakton: Best team in the state, both close games but Oakton is rolling right now. As for Langley, they have had a good season. However, let's get the truth out there: Going "undefeated" in the down year of the Liberty district doesn't mean they are on the same level as Oakton. Langley held on to beat Westfield at the end to win by 2. Cville put a running clock on a talented Westfield team in both games. Cville had running clock on wins against Mclean and Herndon, beat a young and talented Yorktown and beat W&L in a scrimmage easily. Care to re-evaluate how the Liberty matches up with the Concorde?
