People are struggling.  Some had a rough time during COVID, and some are having a rough time with Trump right now.  Wages for most Americans have pretty much been stagnant while the rich keep getting richer.  Housing costs keep rising, grocery costs keep rising, healthcare costs keep rising yet wages are stagnant and the middle class is getting beat down.  All the other issues pale in comparison.

As it is for the Republicans.  The D vision is "free everything for everyone, paid for by rich people".  The R vision is "lower taxes, more $ in your pocket to spend as you like" instead of "we'll take your money through higher taxes and redistribute it to get more votes". Really? How is that? Trickle down cuts taxes with money going directly into the rich folks’ pockets, never coming out save for moving around their investments. Green New Deal and IRA fund infrastructure projects employing people from engineers to contractors to laborers. Money going into those pockets ends up back in the economy.[/quote]
