https://www.instagram.com/p/DIWfhpGAzth/?igsh=bXlmbnNxNnQwYms= GA Cup updates, U16 falls to PSV.
Good Lord. Give them a break. I'm all for objective criticism on here, but that clip was the only goal of the match and it was an unfortunate keeper error. We have no idea how that game played out.
It's the game results not some biased analysis of the game. Why so defensive?
sorry objective relayer of information. I should have replied to "not surprised." Thank YOU for posting the results of a U16 game you had nothing to do with, and didn't see, for comment on a discussion board about the quality of an academy. Like I said, I'm all for criticism. Not defensive of the academy, but don't act like you're not trying to criticize.
Even if the u16s beat psv it wouldn't matter. DCU is still a crap academy and the kids aren't learning a damn thing.
Just like this same DCU team beat Sporting Portugal last year which is hands down one of the best academia in the world. Except that DCU is only trying to win the game. The other top academies from around the world are bringing younger kids, trying to develop them, and playing to develop, not necessarily to win. You can out physical teams at these younger ages and American teams just try to do that to get a result because we generally have superior athletes.. Unfortunately, these same physical players will be surpassed by players that have been relying on technical prowess as opposed to brute force as they get older. Already happening with DCUs older teams.
