Any knowledge as to why Zaden Bediako from VDA bypassed DCU for NE Revolution?
I don't know the player, but it brings up an interesting data point. We all know several players from this area have gone to academies outside of the region. Some of them are players that received offers from DCU and chose to go elsewhere, some are not. Are there any players at DCU Academy from other regions? Has anyone chosen DC over another academy?
I can not possibly see how a family would move here just for DCUA. A homestay or residency program would have been a different story but we know they're far FAR away from having those options.
Only a family that has no other options for MLS academy level near them or doesn't know any better. DCU is just not a desirable option for any player really. But they benefit from and rest on being the only game in town.
Doing some research and I don't see any rankings or evaluations from US Soccer or MLS that ranks the academies based off a set of objective criteria Where does this repeat poster get his facts on the best or worst or middle academies?
