https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/919-C-St-NE-Washington-DC-20002/419755_zpid/?utm_campaign=iosappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare I love this house. So much character. I just bought on the Hill and also sold. While this isn’t what I was looking for in terms of location and space, it’s got more character than much of what’s out there.
Gosh! I literally was just walking past that house and wondering about its history since it looks so different. It’s from 1840 (so about 50 yrs older than most in the neighborhood) and “ Fun Fact! The home was previously located on Massachusetts Ave NW and served as the Swiss Consulate until 1898 when it was moved to Capitol Hill by horse and cart.”
