Agreed.  Taylor is a boring, smart woman with an insanely high emotional IQ (and a drinking problem). Not the dream girl for a foodballer outside of her money and fame, the later of which is why he thinks he loves her.

As much as I fell for the love story on TTPD, she's also probably not a great match for matty though they are both smart and artistic  with high emotional IQs.  He needs more impulse control and at 35 the odds aren't great he'll develop it.

I don’t agree. People want Taylor to be this artsy smart sweet person and while she does have a real gift in story telling and song writing, she’s also super cringey, social, and extra. Joe isn’t any of those things and that worked when Taylor was hiding after the Kanye drama but became untenable when she was ready to get out in the world again. The clips with her and Joe in Miss Americana are hard to watch as a result - she’s bopping around on cloud 9 after her new show and trying to find him backstage where he is trying to disappear. Travis runs to the stage, wants to stand with her in the limelight and also adores her publicly. She, obviously, prefers that. They both are super cringey golden retrievers. She doesn’t have to try and be cool, she can just be herself, and she finally found someone who shares in the things she loves.  I think it’s cute and all the haters are projecting. [/quote]
