2 down. 49 parents and a dozen bribery officials to go. Felicity Huffman is pleading GUILTY. She was charged with $15,000 in fraud. Her sentencing should go much easier than Lori's half a million whopper. [i] "I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions." "I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly. My daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions, and in my misguided and profoundly wrong way, I have betrayed her. This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life. My desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty." What she did was pretty indefensible and it sounds like she gets that now. Laughlin looks pretty darned shameless by comparison and guilty as hell. Wonder if Huffman will get jail time...
Martha got jail time. ...
If Huffman gets 12 months for her crime, then Loughlin is looking at 3x that. O.O I'm curious at what sentencing they're looking to hand down.
After having a few weeks to digest this scandal, I really appreciate Felicity's acknowledgment of her behavior. I am hoping she makes a comeback from this scandal.
Why? Had this case not been indicted one morning and she been forced out into the open, she would have kept along as she was - enrolled her daughter in college and prepared the second with the next scam.
