In the end, many parents are jerks and are only looking out for #1 (and this particular team has a lot of loudmouth dads). They were part of a rec team with several really good players. Once they hit HS, they were pulled by the allegiances some HS have towards certain clubs as well as kids who want to be part of a bigger club platform to showcase their talents.
