It was behind a wooden fence, under redwood trees on a bed of fallen redwood leaves. The prosecutor and media repeated the theme of "next to a dumpster"  to make it seem far fetched that she would have led Turner to that location. Turner described it as behind a wooden shed and indeed the fence enclosing the dumpsters on three sides could appear as a wooden shed at night given the dim lighting.

Turner did not stick pine needles in her vagina; that detail is in her court room Spoken Word performance which was subsequently  distributed over the internet; it is a work of fiction. Look at the trees; those are not pines those are redwoods.
