Ultimately, she got paid $500-$1000 per episode for a short period of time.  Jim Bob has profited off of his children and purposely withheld money that was rightfully due to them to control them.

Their families were both in the ATI scene and probably met at one of their conferences. Everyone who followed the Duggars at the time thought it was odd that the oldest son of probably the most prominent family was marrying a prison pastor’s daughter who grew up in a trailer in Florida, but I’m sure the accusations against Josh were talked about in their circles, and JB and Michelle probably thought Anna was the best they could do.
