Magical trees, pure mountain spring water, and on demand rainbows. It's a special place.
Except, none of it is naturally occurring. It was built with the types of environmentally unfriendly techniques that would cause even the heartiest member of the Cleveland Park Historical Society to spit their sweet tea all over their seersucker suit.
So your view is 'saving Hearst' means paving it?!
It has already BEEN paved over! Now it just has a few layers of sod on it. This isn't Yosemite.
A big concrete bathtub, a pool house and surrounding pool deck, all of which will sit fenced and empty for 9 months out of the year, will mean paving over green space and likely cannibalizing an existing recreational use like some tennis courts or the playground.
