Their hearts are not in it. Apparently lots of troops were tricked into going to Ukraine, being told it was training.

The importance of this can’t be overstated. I’m not Slavic but one of the news reports featured a little kid that looked just like my own, and I damn near lost it. Not to say kids of other colors are less than, but it hits you even harder when the kids are dead ringers for your own. You can’t even pretend they are some kind of “other” and somehow deserve what you are doing to them.
