Off Topic.  Does anyone remember their history class about Chiquita Bananas, formerly called United Fruit Company, and how they, along with the CIA, arranged a coup on the democratically elected government of Guatemala for planning to give peasants plots of land to farm on?   Chiquita wanted and got that land for themselves and the CIA loved bringing down Latin leaders that would do something like share the land with peasants.  Civil war throughout the 1960’s followed.

Chiquita also hired right wing paramilitary fighters to kill leaders and their families in a Colombian union protest and strike against poor working conditions.  Families of workers killed or missing during the 90s were just awarded money in a civil suit.
