He’s a masochist and needs humiliation and pain.  Gerri triggered him seconds before that moment.  She used to provide that outlet for him.  My husband actually thought Kendall knows that about Roman so was providing it/giving him the pain he needed to recover at that moment.

This scene was pretty explicitly clear from the dialogue.  Roman, who is pretty twisted, was ok with giving Waystar to Kendall the night before, but became fixated on how well his scar was healing and that sent him down the “why can’t it be me?” Rabbit hole.  He needed a visible reason why it couldn’t; Kendall supplied it.  They both knew what was going on IMO.  [/quote]
