It has been discussed multiple times with GA DOC’s. At the annual meeting, during the town hall and now it is on the admin portal on the GA website. The only thing unclear is if it will be 8-1 but most think it will be.

Maybe you didnt hear all the posters before you………ASK YOUR GA DOC………unless you are not even in GA, which is probably pretty likely. Note how literally EVERYONE but you already knows this. If you need to know who your DOC is just tell us all your club, you can still stay anonymous but that will finally make you put up or shut up.

GA directors/coaches already know. SoCal here, tryout is 4 months away, our U12 pre-GA is already training with our "projected" roster in selected sessions.

SOCAL league the youngers and 3rd + 4th team olders league is in 3-4 months. SOCAL has stated that they're moving from BY to SY.[/quote]

Correct, but this is a grey area.

Usually the top players on a SOCAL youngers team become the players for rhe GA team. But clubs still hold u13 GA tryouts in May/June.

I'm ok with a non official document or statement that proves of disproves but neither of these or an official statement have occurred.

Have you been around youth soccer very long? I don’t ask that in a mean way, I’ve yet to see a club that was good at communicating plans to parents, especially 6-7 months in advance.

I don’t see a scenario that GA stays BY but you’re right, they haven’t come out and made a public statement. The change to SY won’t benefit my kid so we are operating under the assumption that it’s changing and planning accordingly.

Surprisingly there is very little chatter about the age change in our local area. Everyone just seems to be ignoring it for now which is probably what clubs want so they can concentrate on this year. I think by the end of the fall season/January at the latest that will change. [/quote]
