The tape was going to be leaked by the ex-boyfriend.  They made a deal to sell it since it was going to come out anyway.  If they sell it, then it's in their court on their terms.  I'd do the same thing if something that embarrassing was going to be coming out either way.

I think it's kind of weird to harbor so much hate for people on TV that you've never met or known and most of you say you have not even watched on TV.  Weird.

Yeah they're rich, yeah they're famous.  Lots of people leaked sex tapes (Paris Hilton, Pam Anderson, that Teen Mom star) and none of them has turned such an embarrassing moment around to their benefit like the Kardashians.  They have great business acumen and know how to hustle.  They work for that money and fame day in, day out.  Can't knock that.

Wow, that one family is the perpetuator of America's culturally vapid society.  They must be pretty damn powerful.

America's livelihood is consumerism, you should already know that.  They are the "Keeping up the Kardashians" TV family along with all there other business and investments. Like most others in Hollywood.  I don't recall them ever calling themselves the "[b]Hippy dippy[/b] gonna save the world as future Mother Theresa's" Family.  Their contribution is the same as the rest of Hollywood=> Entertainment.

I have no feelings about the family, I don't know them.  I've watched the show, it's okay.  Nothing special but nothing outrageously horrific either.  The visceral hate on this thread though is really concerning.

"Hippy dippy"? I would not have used that vernacular to describe Ks. But they put themselves out there and make millions off the pubic. Their choice. The Public has the right to their opinions, even if you don't agree with it. Don't preach. Also it doesn't help that K married Mr. Chaos- Kanye. It's just a matter of time before their breakup. And Kanye will not be a Mr. Nice guy like Brad Pitt. Kim will get the raunchy treatment that Taylor is getting. I can't help thinking that Taylor will smile a little then.
