I was like Cameron about the kid thing. Don't rush. I got married at 28 (husband was 27) and everyone was pressuring us to start a family. Instead, we traveled like maniacs. DH started his own consulting business. I rose to be senior in my career. We saved tons of money and lived a glamorous life---living abroad, fancy dinners, parties. Two months before I turned 35---I questioned life and decided I was ready. I got knocked up on first try and was head over heels happy to be a mother. Got knocked up again on purpose 19 months later. People need to choose their own timetables. I have another friend that swore she never wanted kids all through her 30s--and then had her babies at 41 and 42. I was better off for waiting since I never feel like I missed a thing. I am 45 with a 10 and 8-year old and life is good. Never have a baby just to please your parents or societal pressure. Soul-search first. Go Cameron!
I agree with you 100%! I think I just feel really bad for the husband since it seems like he really WANTS kids. I would think this would be something they would have discussed going into marriage so that is why I feel, on the show, it is more dramatic then it should be. I am sure she is scared, I am sure she will wait a couple more years, but I think the producers want to make a bigger deal out of it than it is.
