Case in point:  I had anorexia for many, many years. My neck, ribs, and hips were the biggest "clues" of my very low weight; my face barely showed my emaciation.  I wore loose dresses, large sweaters, and thick tights so often that it was very difficult to see how much my hips and ribs protruded.  To most people, I didn't "look" anorexic.

Another example:  Having suffered from anorexia for many years, and having been in many treatment programs, I tragically knew many people who lost their battles with their eating disorders.  While [u]most[/u] of the victims who were of "normal weight" had bulimia (not anorexia), some of the people who died of the effects of anorexia were, to most people, "just thin."  Some were, for example, 5'4" and around 100-110 pounds, 5'10" and around 130-140 pounds, or  5'7" and around 120-125 pounds.  They DIED from the effects of their anorexia nervosa, but were NOT extremely underweight.  Weight does NOT always equal degree of illness.
