Yeah, I guess it will be hard for them to preach about how they raise their kids now in a Christian way because if that's the kind of kid their parenting turns out I don't think anyone should be following it.

I don't think he should have bothered with a statement.  I think they did it in hopes of preserving a chance for media deals in the future.  The better thing to do would have been for Josh to say nothing and for the whole family - Jessa, Jill - etc to take a Internet break for a very long time. When it comes to reality and what would be best for the grown daughters, and the rest of the children once they have their own lives, I agree that taking a break from anything to do with the media would be a good idea. They should let this fizzle out on its own and just try to live their normal lives. Hopefully they have a bit saved up, if not, them girls are going to have to start working. [/quote]
