If he's not doing it right on his own, and needs some help, I don't consider it "busy work," because he's learning something.[/quote] If he can't do it on his own, his teacher needs to know that. Homework that requires parental involvement sets a terrible pattern and is unfair to kids whose parents can't help because they lack the time or language skills. [/quote]
