I'm still betting he has a history of using the date-rape drugs and/or they found some in his apartment or car. I still don't think he intended to kill HG, but I wouldn't be surprised if he drugged her and killed her "accidentally" (from the drug interaction with the alcohol or other medicines/drugs in her system) while assaulting her. He doesn't fit the profile of a maniacal killer, but he sure doesn't fit the profile of an innocent man.
Did Ted Bundy?
Did Ted Bundy work in a stable, regular job in a hospital or volunteer coach at a HS? Did he live in the same community his whole life? I am not one who paid any attention to Ted Bundy, but I'm guessing not.
Yes he did. Bundy worked on the re-election campaign of Washington's Republican Governor Dan Evans. Evans was elected and he appointed Bundy to the Seattle Crime Prevention Advisory Committee. Bundy's political future seemed secure, when in 1973 he became assistant to Ross Davis, chairman of the Washington State Republican Party. It was a good time in Bundy's life. He had a girlfriend, his old girlfriend was once again in love with him, and his footing in the political arena was strong. http://crime.about.com/od/serial/p/tedbundy.htm
