No, no, no. You keep saying this, and it's completely untrue.

We know this is a Muslim position: that Christians distorted Jesus' message. We don't believe this.

Here are just some differences between Islam and Christianity, and these characteristics of Christianity have existed from the very first days:
- inheritance laws (Christianity has none)
- dietary rules (Christianity has none)
- animal sacrifice
- veiling of women
- divorce (Jesus said never, Muslim man can divorce easily)
- other rules about women (polygamy, concubines)
- baptism and communion vs. hajj et cetera
- poverty as an ideal
- role of free will
- treatment of non-believers
- loving your enemies vs. fighting them.
- eye for eye justice rejected in Christianity, returned in Islam

So you see, there are MAJOR differences in religious requirements.

More important, the value systems (eye for eye, love your enemy) are very different. The value systems are why I'm a Christian and not a Muslim.
