Just smile and firmly say "No thank you."  Repeat the three or four times that they ask. Refuse to engage in a discussion about it.  Last time I bought a car they then said, "But the car you're buying already has it."  I said, "Find me one without it, because I'm not paying for it."  They ended up giving it to me for free.  My guess is that it costs them virtually nothing to apply, so they go ahead and do it to all of the cars.  Total scam. [/quote]

If you're not good at these negotiations, just go to Costco or Carmax or USAA which have great no-hassle buying systems. Many of us will never ever ever go to any regular car dealer again.[/quote]
