Is riidiculous to not enjoy musicians, comedians, authors, etc who don't share your political views. I'm an older moderate to conservative, white, southern woman. You might think I wouldn't, but I LOVE Wanda Sykes' routines and humor. I look for her Instagram clips and think she's fabulous! Nate Bartgaze has a low key sense of humor that's also very funny!

Same demographics as you and couldn’t agree more. The left seems to think politics is this hill they have to die on… every single day, over and over again, with everything. Lol as evidenced by this entire site. It’s too bad for them.
Hey guess what, people get to be ridiculous. Nobody needs to be targeting Bargatze -- the information is out there, everywhere, right now. people can make their own choices. But his supporters think he deserves to be protected from viewers making their own choices, like a charity case. Telling people they are dumb, that Bargatze is laughing at them and doesn't need them, but they'd better watch a comedy show against their own wishes is just peek ridiculous. Let's see how that works out for y'all. I'll wait.
Chappelle fans understood the work of a comedian when the PC police tried to cancel him a few years ago and he is still successfully getting laughs and selling out anything he does. Comedy is comedy and comedians don't align well as targets for cancel culture because the cancel culturalists aren't the ones appreciating good comedy in the first place.
But the issue for Chapelle was the edginess of his comedy. Plenty of people respect and support pushing comedy boundaries. Bargatze's issue is that he wanted to be at THIS White House, to watch an MMA fight because seeing it on video wasn't enough. That has nothing to do with the edginess of his comedy. You can't ride on Chapelle's coattails. He's no Chapelle.
He isn't on Chappelle's level as comedian but the PC cancel culture police cared a lot more about Dave's belittling jokes about minorities and the LBGTQ community than they will about Nate attending a fight at The White House and giving RFK Jr. a photo op. The proposed cancelling of Dave lasted a few months. The proposed cancelling of Nate may last a few weeks. The PC police won't win and I'm okay with that.
Okay. You can just let it sort itself out then, instead of belaboring how much it is okay.
What you think is okay and what the vast majority of people think are okay are apparently two different things. I don't think comedians need to operate within boundaries. 97% of us won't cancel and condemn the Eagles players who visited Trump's White House, we won't cancel or condemn Knicks players who will visit Trump's White House, and we won't cancel or condemn Bargatze for attending a professional fight at Trump's White House. You do you but the normal people who make up the vast majority of us will keep people who shouldn't be canceled from getting canceled. Trump is the only one of all these folks mentioned who should be canceled. Maybe we can agree on that.
