2026 USNWR Emory University Atlanta, GA #45 in Finance (tie)
https://www.peakframeworks.com/post/ib-target-schools NW- 21 Emory-24 Percapita IBD placement
Hehe Emory is a semi target. NW is a target. Sorry.
Emory is a low semi target. Northwestern is a high semi target. Both struggle a bit to place into NYC rather than regionally (Atlanta/Chicago).
Here is your source. NU target , Emory is Semi Target. IB is about prestige. NI is T-10 (#7 specifically ) Emory is what??? 24? Debate ends here 👇. We are comparing apples and oranges here. https://mergersandinquisitions.com/investment-banking-target-schools/ https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities?myCollege=national-universities&_sort=myCollege&_sortDirection=asc
Being Top 10 doesnt mean you're a target. And compared to other Top10s has very low placement. Emory compared to other T25s has very good placement. Georgetown also ranked 24 mops the floor with Northwestern as it pertains to IBD placement, so explain that size one.
Someone is trying to pump Emory hard LOL. Ok if you think Emory is a top school then we all agree. Ignore all the facts out there. How about Emory is a T-10 according to DCUM report? if that makes you feel better.
Whatever makes you feel better, but last time I checked T25s are top schools. You're purposely ignoring my point. Emory and Northwestern have similar IB/Wallstreet placement whether you think they are target or semi target, they are more or less the same and can get your DC the job they want. Being a Top10 school on USnews doesnt mean Wallstreet sees you as Top10. Northwestern, CalTech, JHU do not have Top 10 placement. In fact Boston college/SMU would be better than Caltech and JHU. Georgetown is T25 and has better placement that all of the T10s that aren't Harvard, Yale, and Wharton.
