I’ve noticed this too. I think it’s just human nature to want to feel special or unique, even when it comes to something like blood type. The amount of people that I’ve seen claiming to be the universal donor is very disproportionate to the percentage of the US population that genuinely is O- (between 7 and 9 percent).

I’d rather be type A than be either of those. I believe studies have come out that identify type A as the blood type with the lowest risk for the majority of illnesses and as the most protective against viruses and infections. This was an area of interest and research during the COVID pandemic. I remember people talking about it. Unfortunately, I’m (along with my DH and kids) stuck with O. That genetic lottery business is brutal.[/quote]
It might be a coincidence, but every single person that I know of who is [u][b]type O[/b][/u] has some sort of problem with some part of their digestive system/GI tract and experiences digestive symptoms. They usually struggle with spicy or acidic foods and dairy products. It doesn't matter how healthy they otherwise are. This is a common theme.[/quote]

What data do you have to show this is a "common theme"?  I have O type blood, and no GI issues whatsoever, similar to my family members who are also type O.   You may need to take a basic statistics and a basic biology class before spreading weird anecdotes.[/quote]
