She is so beyond disgusting. And lol @ acting like a husband playing football 16 weekends a year for over $50mm USD annually destroyed their marriage. Y’all frame it like he was a Blackwater mercenary in the ME and Africa for years on end. Give me a freaking break.
Have you seen his documentary? He didn’t play until an unprecedented 45 years of age because it’s a 16 weeks activity that he does….it was all consuming for him. It meant going to bed at 8 o’clock every night of the year and getting up in the pre-dawn hours to train. Planning absolutely everything he puts in his body, spending hours watching replays of tape from practices and games, spending hours rehabbing his body, sauna, physical therapy, massage, stretching. His career is admirable, but to act like he was a normal football player is insane. You can hear, in countless interviews he did during his career where he thanks Giselle for all she has sacrificed for his career. He has lamented that he was not there for his kids in a way that he wanted to be because of his career. I’m not defending her, but it’s pretty clear Tom is all about Tom and I feel like he would be impossible to be married to. I also feel like it would be hard to be married to her so in that way, they were a good match, but ultimately they couldn’t make it work. It did seem like they had come to an agreement about his retirement, and then when he went against that, that was the straw that broke the camels back. it seemed like he knew what he was doing and knew it was going to end his marriage and he went along and did it anyway. Who knows what really happened but that is certainly what it looked like from the outside.
You think a super model did none of this? Just rolled out of bed and didn't spend a lot of time on looking a certain way? Being fit and focusing on diet was something they both had in common. Maybe one of the few things.
+1 two big egos
100% agree. But I was responding to the poster that acted like he just worked 16 weeks a year casually in football to earn 50 million. The documentary is quite a watch. It was all consuming on and off season and I think it would be incredibly difficult to maintain a marriage and family. Life is full of trade-offs and maybe if Tom had taken his hundreds of millions and retired five years earlier, his marriage would be intact, who knows. Gisele does seem incredibly high maintenance. I do think he acknowledged many times that she tended to hold down the fort more with the kids. There is a reason she and Bridget were so close. She didn’t just defer to Tom to communicate with her. She was an active coparent with Jack as well. I’m sure the marriage was doomed from the start for both of them given their egos and lives. Money certainly can’t buy everything.
